Akoya Pearls
Pearls from the Akoya oyster (Pinctada fucata) are the classic saltwater pearl, with the best examples presenting a round shape, clean surface and a very high lustre. With each oyster growing no more than one or two pearls at a time, they are rarer than their freshwater counterparts, yet still more affordable than South Sea pearls. With their famed lustre, round shape and delicate overtones, they offer the classic pearl look that is as versatile as the woman who wears them.
